Initiative Muscle Monday: February 2019 Recap

the truth about internships

When I’m doing something new for the first time, I do whatever I can to best understand it first. I want to know what I can expect. Eliminate as many surprises as I can. I think we all do this to some extent. We try to imagine what it’s going to be like so that we are more prepared for what’s to come. We ask others for advice, we do our research and we cycle through the many “what if” scenarios in our head.

If you’re new to internships (or maybe you’ve had an internship before but you’re about to start a completely different one), then you’re likely familiar with this thought pattern. You want to best understand the internship landscape before you get started.

Well, I’ve found that there are quite a few internship misconceptions out there. I decided to fix that with a video series on The Truth about Internships. If you’re not familiar with The Intern Hustle’s YouTube channel, now’s a good time to get started.

Below is February’s recap. Scroll through to watch each video from the month’s series, and then share with a friend or two that could use a little intern inspo of their own.
